Constitution Party of Minnesota Elects Executive Committee

Minnesota – Saturday April 10 Constitution Party of Minnesota (CPMN) elected their Executive Committee for the next two years. It was announced their immediate goal is to grow membership through leading with integrity to uphold The Minnesota Constitution, The US Constitution, and traditional American family values.

The executive committee members are:
Chairman – Daren Mehl
Vice-Chairman – Wayne Zimmerschied
Treasurer – James Niemackl
Secretary – Samuel Crow
Chairman Emeritus* – Tammy Houle

The convention opened with an invocation acknowledging God and Jesus Christ as sovereign and reading the Preamble of the Declaration of Independence.

Daren Mehl stated, “We are opening our convention today in prayer first and then by reading the Declaration of Independence to help us focus on the self-evident truths that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, and the government’s role is to secure those rights.”

Special guest William (Bill) Mohr, 2020 US Vice Presidential Candidate of The Constitution Party (National), spoke at the convention.

The Constitution Party of Minnesota (CPMN) announced their new podcast, “What You Should Know, Minnesota” hosted by Terry Larson.

It was noted by those attending the convention both the MN GOP and Constitution Party of Minnesota (CPMN) held their conventions on the same day, Saturday, April 10. Discussions included the fact The MN GOP affirmed the Log Cabin Republicans of Minnesota [LGBT] as an affiliate in their party, and conversely, The Constitution Party of Minnesota (CPMN) elected Daren Mehl, a former homosexual, as their Chairman.

As Daren Mehl, the party chairman states, “We will defend and preserve The Minnesota and US Constitutions and our conservative values. As part of our membership drive, we welcome all former members of MN GOP who see the failure and lipservice of that party to uphold the values they hold dear and want to be part of and support a party that will uphold their values. For example, for many conservatives, it is clear that by including the Log Cabin Republicans of Minnesota [LGBT] as an affiliate of MN GOP that their party is no longer conserving the values many Minnesotans hold close. The Constitution Party of Minnesota (CPMN) will always uphold our traditional values supporting marriage, never affirm faux ‘gay marriage’, will uphold traditional definitions of sex (gender), will protect children from the vicious abuse of the transgender agenda, and will stand against the celebration of the behavior of sodomy, we will never affirm it. This is because we know any compromise with the LGBT agenda results in harm to children and ultimately leads to the religious discrimination of traditional faiths and the denial of unalienable rights. The Constitution Party of Minnesota will protect religious freedom, not affiliate with those who would undermine it.”

Gallup research shows that 62% of Americans want a third party.

Mehl also stated during the convention, “Our vote is the currency of our virtue. We must not compromise our virtue for the expediency of ‘winning’ an election. The test of a person, of a people, is to do what is right and virtuous, not expedient. We reap what we sow. People should not be surprised when our elected leaders compromise in making laws that we know are not right or virtuous and then end up with bad results. Virtue matters through the whole process.”
